Michael: Hi everyone, and welcome back to RomanianPod101.com. I'm Michael.

Michael: This is Must-Know Romanian Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 23. In this lesson you'll learn Slang Used by Students.
Michael: Teenagers have their own vocabulary. Here are some slang words used in school.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Michael: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Anna: șase
Anna: lebădă
Anna: boboc
Anna: tufă de Veneția
Michael: Anna, what's our first expression?
Anna: șase
Michael: literally meaning "six-six." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "attention, keep watch."
Anna: [SLOW] șase [NORMAL] șase
Michael: Listeners, please repeat.

Michael: Use this slang expression when you want to make someone be attentive, as a warning of upcoming danger, keep watch.
Michael: Now let's hear an example sentence.

Michael: literally meaning "swan." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "the number two."

Michael: literally meaning "bud." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "freshman."

Michael: Now let's hear an example sentence.

Michael: literally meaning "Venice bush." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "ignorant."

Michael: Use this slang expression when you refer to someone who doesn't know anything. It's known that Venice is full of water so bushes don't grow there.

Michael: "I was completely ignorant at Romanian today."
