Michael: Everybody needs to relax. Here is how some Romanians describe how they spend their free time.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Michael: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Anna: chef
Anna: a (se) machi
Anna: a bate un cui la sicriu

Anna: chef
Michael: It doesn’t have a literal meaning. But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "party."

Michael: Use this slang expression when you talk about a loud party with music, food, and drinks.
Michael: Now let's hear an example sentence.

Michael: literally meaning "hammer a nail in the coffin." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "have a smoke, have a cigarette."
